Kirmen carpets are manufactured in workshops established with the financial support of western importers. The patterns used are inspired by the traditional motives and adapted to the western market. It is floral and often has a central pattern (medallion) embroidered on a single color background. Miniatures can be found around the medallion. The weft and warps are cotton, the knots are single asymmetric knots. Carpets that look alike may have different prices due to their different knot density production.
